The Jewish Youth Connection (JYC) is a Sunday morning Hebrew School for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Our mornings consist of group learning in Jewish education as well as 1:1 tutoring in Hebrew reading and writing. This year, due to Covid-19 we are taking our learning and fun online. Our school meets on Sunday mornings from 9:30 until noon, rain or shine! Our students look forward to joining each week and create lasting friendships here at JYC.
At JYC, we make it our goal to give each student the individual attention they deserve. JYC is The Hebrew School with a H.E.A.R.T: Hands-on, Energetic, Attentive, Relevant, Tech-savvy.
Our exceptional, experienced teachers are professional, caring, enthusiastic, passionate and high quality role models. We pride ourselves on having a serious, yet fun, interactive curriculum with differentiated instruction. Additionally, we take preparing our students for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah very seriously.
JYC is sponsored by Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun (KJ), a leading New York City synagogue, and work in partnership with CKJ Beginners. JYC families are invited to take advantage of congregational offerings. No synagogue membership is required to attend JYC or participate in any of the school programming.
