If you think you know what Hebrew School is...Think again!
Programs
Family holiday programs:
Prior to all the major holidays we invite parents, family members and other guests to special celebrations.  Past events have included the Rosh Hashana Shofar-making factory, Sukkot and Chanukah parties, a Model Seder, and other special events. There is always something fun and exciting going on at JYC!

Parent learning programs:
At JYC, we believe that parents are teachers, too! Throughout the year, we offer classes for parents on Jewish traditions, Hebrew reading, and parenting. JYC families are also encouraged to take advantage of the classes and programs offered at Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun and its Begiiners Program. Please see www.ckj.org and www.kjbeginners.org for details.

Annual Shabbaton:
Once a year, the entire school gathers for  a special Friday night service and Shabbat dinner for parents, students and staff. Students help lead the service and perform during dinner to contribute to the communal Shabbat experience. JYC families are also encouraged to attend the explanatory Friday night and Shabbat services at KJ – and a growing number participate in these services as well.

Campership Program:
The Jewish learning doesn't stop with the end of the school year. Now, through the Campership and UJA-Federation, we are offering a $1250 scholarship to every student who goes to a Jewish sleep-away camp for the first time.
